Havana Club 7 Años is a premium dark sipping rum. The minimum age of any rum in the blend is 7 years, but the oldest drop is decades-old. Every time the Havana Club 7 is made, a proportion of the final blend is put back into the barrel to age for many more years until it is ready to form the heart of future production. The result is a rum with layers of Cuban flavours enjoyed worldwide.

Havana Club is the authentic rum of Cuba. It traces its roots back to Cuba in 1878 when José Arechabala founded his Distillery on the island’s northern coast. He produced a ‘Ron Viejo Superior’, which would later be developed into a brand called Havana Club. Nowadays, Havana Club offers a range of rums, from white to dark aged. Havana Club 7 is the rum that initiated the Continuous Aging tradition created by the legendary Maestro Ronero Don Jose Navarro. This step-change in Cuban rum is also nicknamed “el ron fundacional” as it elevated Rum to challenge the finest spirits in the world and gave birth to the finest Cuban Rums that followed.

Havana Club 7 discloses the tastes of the Cuban terroir: aromatic tobacco, sweet tropical fruits, molasses, spices, and vanilla. It is intense on the nose with notes of cocoa, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, and tropical fruits.

Havana Club Añejo 7 Años is best enjoyed in very small sips. Legendary Cuban musician Compay Segundo recently called this rum the “best rum in the world”.
